Took the risk.
Okay thanks to the instructions on here I got the one-way option. I booked a ticket. Hopefully it will stick. I did get a confirmation e-mail from UA and all the regular stuff. My MP summary has the mileage deduction and shows
1-WAY N AMER-HAWAI BUSINESS
I'm going to wait a while before I book the other one-way (using BMI) to go with this.

Works fine for this non-1K as well.
Now just to wait for official word if its UA metal only or will Star be included!

whoa...i GOT it...
refresh with F5.
place the cursor above and just between the two "destination boxes"
click one-way as it refreshes
and even though the "one-way" sign disappears, there is only one box to put in dates...and one-way WILL pop up
WHOA.....wow.......wow.... nice

I'm surprised that UA hasn't said anything about it. It's a big deal. Now I can book a one-way ticket on my way out and then fly Jet Blue on my way back if I want to save money. (After all, I will be downgraded to 1K on Feb 1.)

There is something there but it does not work right.
Code:
<!-- Start rm Tag --> <div id="fltTypes" style="margin:5px 0px 5px 9px;display:block;_margin-bottom:3px;font-size:11px;_margin:2px 0px 5px 6px;"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td valign="top" style="padding:3px 4px 0px 0px;_padding:0px 1px 0px 0px;"><input onclick="affTripType=2;ff29ToggleReturn('wayRound');" id="wayRound" checked="checked" type="radio" name="Way" value="RoundTrip"></td> <td class="fs11 cl333"><label for="wayRound"> Roundtrip</label></td> <td valign="top" style="width:27px;"><img src="http://www.united.com/images/trans.gif" border="0" height="1"></td> <td valign="top" style="padding:3px 4px 0px 0px;_padding:0px 1px 0px 0px;"><input onclick="affTripType=1;ff29ToggleReturn('wayOne');setRoundTrip('false');" id="wayOne" type="radio" name="Way" value="OneWay"></td> <td class="fs11 cl333"><label for="wayOne"> One-way</label></td> <td valign="top" style="vertical-align:top;padding-bottom:6px;_padding-bottom:0px;"><sup><span style="font-style:italic;font-weight:bold;color:#cc0000;font-size:11px;_font-size:13px;clear:all;padding-left:2px;">New!</span></sup></td> </tr> </table> </div> <!-- End rm Tag -->

Switched to Internet Explorer 8 and I saw the option. It took 20 refreshes by pressing F5 until I was able to click on the option. It does work!.

I'm using FF 3.5.7 and it appears just long enough for me to click the one-way option. I did not try and book a ticket however I did get to screen which looked like it would do so for 1/2 the miles of RT.
I guess we'll all just have to wait until Feb 1 and see if the option is official. I hope so, that would be ^^^ for UA.

So it appears that UA MP will have one-way awards but only on certain browsers and only for a few seconds at a time? That certainly "one ups" AA, for sure.

It's not live yet. IT is obviously working on it over the weekend, but people on here are seeing the work in progress.
