when exactly does LOT join?
I was hoping to use my UA miles for FRA->ODS(odessa,Ukraine) trip this May on OS trough VIE. Unfortunately OS is going to stop flying this route using their own metal in March. LOT Polish runs a daily WAW-ODS using their own metal, but they don't seem to be part of Star yet, but about to join. When exactly do they join?

It's not confirmed, but I believe it will be June 1st - certainly beyond your May travel date, unfortunately.
Also it's a VO CRJ flight on Saturday and Sunday.

June 1st would be acceptable if I could book the awards now. Any chance United would let me book the award now to be taken in early june?
I think VO currently runs some of the OS fights to ODS with Ukraine international and OS themselves filling out the rest of the schedule. Are you saying they plan to run the LOT flights as well?

As this is a question regarding United Mileage Plus and to avoid confusion as LO is already a fully integrated M&M partner, I move this thread to the UA forum.

As I posted in another thread, I called UA Mileage Plus to ask about accrual on Asiana, which supposedly joins *A in March. MP had no idea what I was talking about. I referred the woman on the phone to their most recent newsletter's cover story.
With that said, why not call United and ask them?

The UK(ireland centre???) MP desk had no idea when exactly LOT joins. Its certainly not in their system yet. I found some references on the net pointing to a June 1st join date.
LOT is already integrated with M&M, but that dosen't help me.

from today's personal conversation with the ZRH LH people at their office. First LOT started with miles&more per jan-1-2003 - but their (LOT's former Qualiflyer-) computer program did mess up (and their seem also to be some unsolved so far legal issues with the former Qualiflyer program about that starting/transfer time) and the latest news is (according to LH ZRH) that the integration of LOT into moremiles will only come into effect (probably) in early spring 2003 ...
