Switch to LH?
I am Premier Ex with a lot of *A flying in store for 2003. I asked LH to match my status, which they did. "Be careful what you wish for" -- Now I'm not sure whether to switch: A lot more status miles on LH, but no credit card tie-in for North America, and no domestic upgrades (not so worried about that). Anyone try this? Advice?

I am switching to AA, and with the new rules (SWU's for H fares or higher on UA, and, at the same time, SWU's accepted on LH, and LH matching UA status bonuses) I am moving my transatlantic business to LH, so I can use my last SWU's. I did not know that LH is matching UA status (after all, they are not supposed to compete with each other), but that would make it even easier decision for me.
It is really hard to understand what is UA trying to achieve. Maybe, all of it is just the parting gift to an ally before going belly up

I recently flew LH in November, I wont be flying them again. I find UA(even in its present state) far superior. Seat comfort, on board entertainment, and service.
