E+ question

If I have an award reservation for my wife, can I get her into E+ if she is not an elite but I am? I will not be travelling with her.

No, but I think Award reservations are considered "full fare," so she should qualify for E+.

Tickets just came in the mail today.

Looking at the tickets, they are in:
Class: XY
I don't recall seeing this before, but maybe I'm wrong.
Needless to say she is not in E+ right now, and the agent I talked to said that since I am not travelling with her she cannot be there. Is this true, or do I have to keep calling back to get to someone that knows??

Well "Hang up and phone again" is a bit of a mantra for UA MP members It couldn't hurt, though don't do it too much or they may note your wife's PNR.

I got my parents E+ seats on the way back from LHR, it took several tries but they did it.

You can also ask at check-in if anything better seats "further forward" are available.

Where is she travelling to?

As far as I know, the only time a travel partner is allowed to sit in E+ is if he/she is in the Premier Member's itinerary. Otherwise, she is booked as a regular MP member.

Senor Hamachi and I will be traveling to NY in January on purchased, not award tickets. I am Premier, he is not. If we book separately (we both want the online booking bonus), can I get him into E+ with me??

Thanks!

Yes, just call up Premier reservations with both PNRs and they should be able to get you seats together in E+ if they're available. I did this in August with my father (I have the status )
