initials on ticket?
I'm assuming travelocity issues an eticket. Would there be any Problems if my eticket say Mr A B Goodo, but my licence says Mr A Goodo, and my MP number says Mr B Goodo?
thanks

You would not receive MP credits because your MP# did not match the name registered along with the number. How do we differentiate between John A. Smith and John B. Smith unless a specific FF# is the deciding factor? It isn't UA's responsibility to ensure that you have given us the correct FF# when you made your reservation.
If Mr. A Goodo purchases a ticket and presents a valid Govt. issued ID stating the name Mr. A B Goodo, we now have more info than originally given. Nonetheless, if any airline agent or TSA agent feels that the identity is false, we generally run the baggage through the CTX machine and the customer through the full TSA proctological exam.
In both cases, it would behoove the customer to have ID and tickets and FF#'s match up.

Jana, thanks for your reply. I don't want to have anything corrected. Cutting to the chase, could one would receive MP miles if the name registered in MP does not match exactly the name on the ticket?

Unless there were some kind of careful checks the entire once-a-year-flier ozstamps clan - parents/sisters/brothers/children etc could all be flying using my MY number and their same surname would get them through. And my making 1K would be a LOT less tedious each time. Whether that is the reason for this question is not entirely clear.

My first name in UA's system and what appears on my tickets does NOT match. The first initial is correct but the rest of the name on my tickets matches what is in my passport - I've NEVER once had a problem with a flight not crediting. Could this be based on first initial last name then?
