Baggage and interlining ?

I am flying from SFO-SIN on UA and then SIN-BOM on Jet Airways(9W) with two seperate tickets. Will UA interline baggage for me? I've done this route before but using SQ on the SIN-BOM portion. I never had any hassle checking my baggage all the way thru. As a 1k I will also will be flying with 3 bags. This one has a layover of about 12 hrs too. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Vish

I haven't done United to Jet, but I can't imagine that it will be a problem. And I have never had bag weight or number raised as an issue when I am interlining.

UA and 9W have an interlining agreement, so in theory at least, yes.

See also http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/airli...rline-jet.html for some not very recent experience with this.

Interlining the bags should not be the problem - 3 bags may be. Your bag tag numbers will not carryover to Jet. When you go to checkin with them, they will ask if you have bags to check. At this point, you will have to give them your tags so they can input the numbers in their computer. They will see you have 3.
Others in this forum are probably more experienced with Jet and how they will handle things from here.
