The website seems buggy such having to wait a long time before I can enter departure dates and to/from cities. Or it takes a long time for the website to recognize an airport when I enter I-A-H....
This has been an issue for a long time.
The app however, works much better.

The website drives me absolutely nuts these days with the lag. The app has also gotten buggier but it's not nearly so bad.

Yes... combined with the "please enter a valid..." error message if you try just searching with e.g. IAH ORD... I know not all people speak fluent airport code but I don't know why I have to wait for it to populate then select an entry from the list when I've already entered everyhting the website should need to process my request, and moreso when it forces me to wait while it's doing whatever backend query it feels necessary.
Both the website and app have gotten quirky in different ways. I strongly prefer to use the website for most tasks when I have both devices available but there are some things that can only be done (effectively) on one or the other. For example, seeing a seatmap from flight status seems to require the app these days but trying to look at options to modify an award booking I get very inconsistent results between desktop and app
