Reservation Split Question

I've got an upcoming itinerary with 4 of us on it. For reasons I don't want to get into, is it possible to have the reservation split into 2 groups of 2? I don't want to change any of the flights, just take the existing reservation with 4 people and make 2 out of it.

Yes but probably best to have an agent do it, Don't be concerned of needing a reason, you don't. And there are many reasons to want to do this.

You can do this yourself by going to change flight. At some point you will be ask to which passenger you want to make the change. Continue selecting a new flight BUt don't confirm the change. The PNR will have been split with no changes. But really safer to get an agent to do this.

I don't think this works any more. It doesn't split unless you confirm the change (i.e. move some pax to a new flight).

It has been awhile since I have needed to do this but had not heard it stopped. Actually probably a good idea as inadvertently it could do damage.
