SFO Gaza War protest blocking A & G gate access

Protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza were demonstrating at San Francisco International Airport Wednesday morning. An airport spokesperson said the international terminal is still open. Passengers are being rerouted around the protesters.

This is a developing story. Details may change as more information becomes available. Stay tuned for updates.

Just before 8:45 a.m., two groups of protesters stood in front of the A and G international gates at SFO. Linking arms, the protesters held banners that read “Permanent Ceasefire,” “Stop Arming Israel” and “Stop the World for Gaza” while other demonstrators beat drums.
Another group of protesters stood outside of the airport, holding red signs that say “Stop bombing Gaza.” Car traffic was halted on the drop-off loop outside of the International Terminal.
Appears blocking auto traffic at the international term (A&G) in addition to A&G security
BART is working
Started about 8:45AM local time

Use F security to access G gates

So, anyone arriving at SFO either from outside the airport, or arriving internationally with a connection will need some extra time?
Everything goes through F? Does F security have CLEAR?

F has clear. D-G are connected airside.

F also has premium, GS, and pre-check. Clear is often longer than premium or pre-check.

D, E, F & G are connected airside, so if airside you should have no issues.
Arriving Intl are directed to F security for connections.

I'm not at SFO, so not sure how G security is working but F is an option

Maybe not now though; would be interesting if an event like this makes CLEAR worthwhile.
Would be great to get some reports on the F security lines, CLEAR vs. normal TSA-pre.

Just to be sure, the protest is landside, not airside, is that right?

So as stated by WineCountryUA, using F to go airside and walking to G works, right?

It is reportedly 300+ prosters chained together, that started an hour ago, it will take a bit of time to clear out. I'm sure the airport authorities are working on that but in the meantime let FT be a source of status information and helpful workarounds.

No reports of airside activity.

Anyone traveling to/from SFO with firsthand reports?

It was a mess when "illegal gatherers" blocked off highway entrance to JFK a few months ago. Also tried to disrupt Airtrain access.

Other major airports have been affected as well.

I am seeing pictures both outside, and inside just before security at A and G.

(Not posting those pictures but anyone should be able to find them fairly easily online)

Checkpoints reopened

However if departing out of A and A checkpoint is blocked, B checkpoint should be an option too

Actually, law enforcement on SFO property is provided by SFPD. The approaches are part of Highway 101, so CHP.
