Latest UA New Routes: EWR-RAK, IAH-MDE, NRT-CEB + more EWR-OPO, SFO-ICN, LAX-HKG/PVG
United is out with another teaser video featuring Patrick Quayle doing his best Indiana Jones impression... looks to be at least 3 new routes, 1 with 787, 2 with 737, if I were to hazard a guess.

I don't think United has formally announced ORD-ATH or the second EWR-OPO frequency yet, so maybe these will be included. Hopefully those are not the main event!
Let the guesses begin...
(BKK anyone ?)

UA’s summer 2024 announcement was pretty light on new destinations (only EWR-FAO). Maybe preliminary European demand is even stronger than anticipated and they add more frequencies? Hard to see them adding any new routes outright at this point.

There will be an TATL flight, EWR-IST?
There will be a short IAH flight to a South American beach city.
A wild guess, MCO to a South American city.

The maps are really generic, but if the landmasses relative to the water are to be believed, it feels like a 78J route out of EWR to somewhere in Europe (or Middle East? Only query that because the way the lines on the route map work, the animated line in the video does not arch north towards where a Northern European destination would be) and 2x 737 routes, 1 from IAH and 1 from EWR. Likely Caribbean / Latin American destinations if on 737s.

On the Indiana Jones hint:
I only remember the first 3 installments (aided by IMDB to prod my memory) but it sent him to:
LIM (possible from a different hub)
CAI/HBE (CAI is my front runner)
KTM (doubtful)
PVG (already served... maybe a reopening announcement)
BOM/DEL/etc (unlikely with the russian flyover issues)
LIS/OPO/etc (already served... maybe another hub)
VIE (possible, but not as noteworthy WRT Indiana Jones)
IST (my 2nd place guess).

Here’s an out there prediction… LAX or SFO to RAR… I know the Cook Islands has been trying to promote tourism from the US, they would basically be taking over a pre pandemic Air New Zealand route, with an operating subsidy and cargo I could see it being a decently performing route

That last map looks an awful lot like Florida... MCO-SJU, perhaps? It is a massive market and currently served 100% by LCC, with no premium option.

I haven't really used the Indy Jones hints/references, but feels like EWR transatlantic (Africa?), IAD Caribbean and possible MCO Caribbean from the map clues. Here's to me being wrong as always!

I’m thinking Cairo. AC started it up last year. MS connections to secondary markets in the area. And provides a real business class service out of Cairo to the US. Also post war will likely result in Cairo being used as a hub for folks needing to get to the area

This would be great, if true...
