Is the fare basis code the same when cleared for standby?
Apologies if this question has been asked before.
If I decide to standby for an earlier flight and I am cleared, would my original fare code basis remain the same on my new flight? Currently I am on a "L" fare on UA which earns 75% mileage on TK. If I am cleared for an earlier flight I hope that my fare basis remains the same and not be assigned another code that have a less favorable earning rate. Thanks.

Yes, standby usually results in the same exact fare class. Only if the agent manually confirms you on the flight for some reason will it possibly change. But you should be fine.

The policy is it stays the same, and the practice is it mostly stays the same, but sometimes you'll end up in full Y (software failures, human expediency, etc). You should never end up in a worse fare code.
