Thanks for the heads up. Have an UA flight tomorrow evening ex-EWR, maybe I should start praying now. I have a confirmed +P attached to Tuesday's flight, any hiccup the +P would go unused before the end of the month.

I flew 3 flights today up and down the east coast, none with UA; while it has a separate waiver for today.

Honestly, a continuous waiver would be better for everyone. This is stressful.

Looked at the weather forecast and then came her fully expecting to see a waiver, haha.

It's the summer that won't quit.

Couldn't get out of DCA midday with rolling delays.

Jumped on the DC Metro and then on an Amtrak train. All under 45 minutes.

Now speeding down (up) to EWR.

Next obstacle is an INTL flight with UA.

Thanks. I have made it to EWR about an hour ago. The plane I was supposed to be on from DCA just took off...my next flight is boarding in less than an hour, or at least scheduled.

Amtrak being more dependable than flying is not in my 2023 bingo card.

Amtrak is actually pretty decent on the NE Corridor, because they own the track and don't have to fight with freight operators.

Good luck getting where you're going!

I have three TATL trips coming up over the next 7 weeks or so, all in/out of NYC (mostly EWR), a mix of personal and work travel. The way it worked out, all three trips are booked on LH/OS/LX metal. l like LH group, but was slightly disappointed that I won't get lifetime mile credit for these trips (Aside: We should get lifetime credit for JV partners, but I digress).

The way things have been going this summer, I'm now quite happy these are all on LH group metal.

I have mostly avoided EWR lately but have just booked a quick in-and-out trip for next week. Work requirements, so no other good options.
Fingers crossed.

I am actually heading the other way, so PHL would have been the alternative.

As a local resident (in Manhattan), July has been brutal weather-wise. Every single day since the calendar turned from June has been the hot, humid/muggy days where the lows don't go below the low 70s and the highs are in the high 80s, and it feels like it could rain on any given day. The longer-term forecast does not seem to offer any respite either. Just crossing fingers that my EWR-VCE flight in a few weeks will not encounter any weather issues.
