Update on 24 May 2023 UA 2380? SFO-HNL, rtr to SFO and changed planes

This is a flight I commonly take and have business partners that take it as well. Anybody know what happened? Sounds like it is back on the ground safely now thankfully.

The flight had a rudder issue over the Pacific, returned to San Francisco and passengers continued on to Hawaii on a different plane.

Thanks for the info, rudder issues all freak me out after that AS flight years back. I am reaching out to my business partners but I believe no one was on that flight.

Ditto. We had a flap issue coming into KOA on UA in January - aborted landing and the pilots took us back out over the Pacific while they worked on fixing it. Most stressed I've been on an airplane in a very long time.

Understandable, Kacee, although flaps are WAYYYYYY less essential to the proper operation (and landing) of an airplane than the rudder.
