1K purchase for Spouse
If I need to purchase a ticket for my spouse, does any of my benefit get transferred?
I believe that if I use my miles to book the ticket, some benefits do get transferred to them? Is that true? If so what benefits?
But If I pay cash, nothing gets transferred?
I am not flying with my spouse.

No status benefits in either scenario. You can try to upgrade her using your PlusPoints; priority will be based on her status level.

Anyone who is not traveling on the same reservation as you does not get 1K benefits (seating, boarding, upgrades, lounge, baggage) while traveling regardless if you pay for the ticket with miles or money. However, you can use PlusPoints to upgrade your spouse, and if the upgrade clears, they would of course have some benefits for being in a premium cabin.

Conferring yearly equivalent status to companions is only available to Million Miler flyers.

And don’t feel bad if you aren’t a Million Miler. Some of did some purgatory time with other airlines. I didn’t realize that was a benefit of MM. Would come in handy for the wife- though it makes her way more happy to fly with me than with out.
