Looks like Thursday and Friday could be a real mess at ORD, just in time for the Christmas rush. I changed my Thursday night flight to Wednesday. Anyone connecting may want to avoid Chicago.

I have a Friday afternoon out of ORD to PHL and I can't leave any earlier. Was thinking of switch to Saturday but afraid trying to get to Airport, plus planes coming will just cause more problems.

Has been extended to cover the entire holiday weekend now. Chicago news is saying blizzard like conditions are expected Thursday/Friday. Seems to be a massive storm impacting the entire central/upper midwest on prime travel days.

Flying to DEN on Friday which is supposed to have frigid weather. Hopefully this storm stays east of Colorado.

A separate waiver is being pushed out to cover basically everything else in the Central & Northwest (including as far as Washington state). Denver is part of that waiver which covers 12/20-12/23 travel dates. Doesn't appear to be live on united.com or Jetstream yet, but will probably be live within the next few hours (and I'm sure will get .it's own thread by DELee when it does). Basically there will be waivers in effect coast to coast for the northern half of the US.

How about a bravo to DELee for posting all these waivers in such a timely manner, this time and every time!
Sometimes we don’t see them unless we constantly load and reload the waiver page

A thankless job indeed!

I do mean the gratitude of course. I have had a couple waivers over the past few years that I only knew because I read them here. You know who posted them!

edit: Thankfully I am not in the midwest this time.

This has got to be one of the most treacherous and delay or cancel-prone Christmas week forecasts in modern United history!
never seen so many waivers for so many places on so many days over a critical holiday travel week like this before!

Although my upcoming trip won’t transit through ORD, I have received an email from United. Thank you, United.
Severe winter weather conditions across the Eastern United States may cause disruptions to our operation, including flight delays or cancellations. As of now, there are no changes to your itinerary. We will notify you if this occurs. We are happy to offer customers with flexible travel plans the opportunity to fly on different day or connect in a different city at no additional cost.
