BOS-LAX (333) and SFO (2400) - Fueling Delays 12/11/2022

Serious fueling delays and technical issues on BOS-LAX (333, 555PM) and SFO (2400, 605PM) 12/11/2022. It appears they cannot fuel a 757-200 expediently or successfully. Both flights already about 2.5 hours late and the LAX flight getting "fueled" first hasn't had their jetway pulled away. The pilot has spoken to us a few times and can't believe they don't have the right equipment to fuel 757s. Everyone who was connecting in my SFO plane have been rebooked and are getting a hotel room. And then we will have to get de-iced. Passengers have been given option to stay onboard or get off and deplane and can't get back on. Fun times for two nearly full 752s.

Looks like UA2400 is making a stop at ORD? UA333 was supposed to as well, but now it's staying on the nonstop track.

Looks like this flight 2400 is running into crew work time limit issues and now need to stop in ORD and get a new crew to finish the flight. There was definitely a bunch of people who decided to depart the plane at that announcement. Looks like were able to get fuel so good go to to ORD now.

Not sure why this wouldn't be a problem for 333.

We are off about to close the door. I'm going to ask for 14 more lifetime miles at least. LAX 333 is off as well.

You’re getting an extra segment. I take it that they’re just going to fuel in Chicago and won’t take any additional passengers.

Tech stops are treated like a direct flight for earning purposes. One segment despite the stop.

Swapping entire crew now in ORD and no passengers on or off. Comped alcohol and snacks. No hot food. Too long refrigerated.

LAX 333 is well on its way to beating us to California.

MP account shows I completed flight ahead and Plat requal.

I just saw you’re getting a new crew. Just another six minutes and off you go!

No, true direct flights are now credited as multiple segments. The crediting of direct flights as non-stops ceased a couple years ago.

But a tech stop flight is credited as the originally scheduled flight.
