United (operations software?) Systemwide Outage 01 Oct 2022 -- resolved
Affecting all UAL flights. No tools available including even ACARS. Other airlines OK. Aircraft can’t get their numbers for departures.

Consumer facing seems to be operating -- so is this just flight operations tools? Are other airport operations impacted? Checking, BP scanners?

I'm at LAX and my flight is delayed (UA1250). They did not mention IT issues. In my case I think the incoming flight (UA515) had a hard landing, maintenance was taking photos of the wheels and brakes then announced they would need to do an aircraft swap.

Good luck. I am at LGA.
A flight at an adjacent gate just had the jet bridge pulled away.
We are not at departure time yet, and I just heard the GA saying they are waiting for three late pax.
Edit: announcement from pilot - nothing about the software outage.

Sitting at FLL on flight to ORD. Pilot announced no estimate on when the IT issue will be resolved as of now (4:52 EDT). Scheduled to leave around 40 min ago at 4:13. Will update if I hear any news.

I'm at SFO, our flight to Newark was supposed to start boarding ten minutes ago but delayed due to with with a new estimated departure time of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Perfect way for my connection from Incheon which was already delayed about two hours.

Been waiting on taxiway for 50 minutes past original departure time in Richmond, VA for RIC-DEN. The problem mentioned by the pilot was a systemwide outage on the computer system for load confirmations.
System seems to have just come online again a few minutes ago as he stated that at 4:52 PM Eastern time we’d gotten confirmation and are spinning up engines now.

Did the u-turn on the taxiway at LAX. After a bit pilot confirmed details in this thread. Says systems are slowly coming back up, but I haven’t seen any UA birds take off yet.
