Canceled flight

My flight a little while ago was canceled. Can any one help me document the cause of the cancelation? United claimed ATC cancelled it?

Flight 3432 from BUF to EWR
June 27, 2022

ATC does not cancel flights. EWR is a mess and ATC restrictions are common; UA needs to cancel a certain number of flights and often it is the shorter East coast hops that then get cancelled as a result.
If you need this for an insurance claim; UA can provide an official delay letter that you can use.

According to the FAA https://nasstatus.faa.gov/ there are no active or planned airport events at EWR at this time.

OP says flight was *June* 27th.

OP may want to try this thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unit...ness-days.html

What ATC can do is reduced the number of landings / departure due to airport / area conditions and if UA's schedule exceeds that, UA must reduce it operations by delays or cancellations. UA will tend to cut close in / smaller aircraft flights. This is considered an "out of UA's control" cancellation, much like weather issues.

In some cases there are multiple reasons and UA generally displays on their website just the last reason

The question is why do you want this information?

There was a travel waiver on the 25/26 for the area so could be a result from that storm causing cancellations and delays rolling into the next day.
