Red face Odd, ATL-SFO flight schedule -- (no issue, poster reading error) 😳

From ExpertFlyer but exists on UA.com

Puzzling UA schedule for UA. Only UA ATL-SFO non-stops, same time of day - arrival and departure, same aircraft type, different inventory, seatmap and bookings

Likely an error, wonder which will disappear.

Aware August and beyond schedules are mostly fiction.
Aware of hub-to-hub running multiple flights with nearly same time but usually a few minutes different

One way to make use of parallel runaways

Could just be a bad "effective date". The first one ends on 30 Oct, so the second one with the flight number change probably starts on 01 Nov and not 01 Aug.

Did you notice that one is in the AM whereas the other is in the PM?

Last I flew to ATL, 2019, they had only two non-stops flights, around, but not exactly, 12 hours apart. So little has changed in the last couple of years.

You might book the wrong flight - but there always is a flight am or pm

but as European and Controller Person I do prefer 24h - it is just more accurate...

Any one know if the SFO-ATL nonstop is actually coming back in August?

I remember booking SFO-ATL nonstop for last December, only for it to change to a one-stop with a three hour layover, and ever since UA keeps pushing back the resumption date. Is it going to stick this time?

Accuracy is identical. Clarity is not.
