Greetings from SF. As I walked by the Polaris Lounge this morning I noticed that there was construction going on. Note that the floor protection goes into the club. There was also plastic hanging down across the entrance. I'm not sure what this means...

Oh, and the SFO Amex lounge is open at what seems to be full capacity, For the first time in a long time there was no wait to get in.

Was at EWR C74 yesterday (around 5pm) and it was packed ofcourse.

Food seems less than the previous post on EWR.
BBQ Lays, Pretzels, burritos, Italian ice, carrots, Turkey sandwich, (non-branded "rice krispy"), cheddar cheese stick, ramen, fruit

My daughter (Star Alliance Gold with AC/Aeroplan) will be flying out of EWR to MCO on an United flight. So she could access the United Lounge at gate C74?
I believe the other United lounges at EWR are closed?

Are any of the other Star Alliance (non United) lounges open? I believe the AC/Maple Leaf Lounge is closed (per the AC forum lounge thread wiki of Flyer Talk - although the Star Alliance web site says it is open).

Any news of the exact date the Unied lounge at MCO will open - she will fly out on Monday June 28

Correct, access at C74 United Club.

I believe the MLL at EWR is indeed closed, and anyway it would be very inconvenient to use when flying UA. The other potential *A option is Lufthansa, which has limited hours, but it also won't be convenient at all for that trip.

Are you sure the PL entrance isn't to right of marble (it's been a while since I've been in there)? I seem to remember an elevator in the area.

The entrance is where the cordon is. I always found that window to the right sort of awkward, since it looks like a door but isn't one.

Just had an IRROPS on UA (MX) in AUS the other day. Obnoxious that the AA and DL lounges we’re open, but no place for delayed UA flyers.

The actual club entrance is where the small sign n a stanchion can be seen. There was a flexible plastic sheet hanging there, and the protective floor covering appeared to extend into that area.

UA is not showing it as open and no reports from any poster. It was not mentioned as an earlier re-opening UCs (pre-4 July) but may be by Labor Day when most of the UCs are rumored to be re-opened,

Thanks I called they are still operating with Covid protocols. Starting in July they will start transitioning to pre-covid protocols.

Just a point of comparison, LH has their lounges open at FRA.

But they give you some sandwiches and little tubs of things like salad and yogurt as well as coffees that you can take on the go.

You can't eat in the lounge itself.

Still a good number of people inside, because they could plug in, not have to look for outlets in the gates, and sit down with tables and such.

This has changed in the last week or two. The county where FRA is located had low enough incidence for long enough that restaurants, and in turn lounges, can let people dine-in but only with proof of full vaccination (last dose + 14 days) or a negative test (less than 24 hours old).

I was at FRA on the 22nd. The lounge nearest the outer gates, A 24 and higher.

I did pass a lounge much earlier which had a long queue of people waiting to get in.

maybe I should have checked that one out.
