UA just can't run a reliable BOM or DEL service from the US which is a shame. Even rickety old AI does a better job. Their flights are often late but not canceled.

Just for fun, I checked up on the other (regularly scheduled) UA49 (BOM-EWR); my partner flew in on the extra UA2820 (March 15th's 22 hours delayed flight) and that arrived about 20 minutes late, at 04:03am. He was through Immigration and Customs in 5 minutes; no temperature check (Tuesday 12/19). Huh?
Anyway, UA49 made a stop at BGR (Bangor) that was listed in its flight status even before departure. Strong headwinds, I guess?
That added some time, ended up about 2.5 hours late.
