I'm flying through two affected airports on 3/14 (EWR-DEN-EGE) and while I think I'll be fine since it's that afternoon, trying to change my flight online still charges me change fee and difference in fare. Is there a special way to change flights when a waiver is in place online? Or do I need to call to do so without paying extra?

I’m on SFO-EGE tomorrow and we’re still on time. My friends flying in from ORD and EWR have all been canceled. I’m highly suspicious that the only UA flights to EGE tomorrow that aren’t cancelled already is SFO on a cute little E175 and a very late night DEN flight...

Had my SNA > DEN flight scrapped today with no other options. Was a mainline A320. It's been a very bad winter for me WX-wise.

Hourly weather report for DEN at 11:00am is snow, 0.15mi visibility, 400ft ceilings, and winds out of the north at 55mph sustained with gusts at 75mph. I think it's safe to say operations at DEN are shut for the rest of the day even though the FAA status show the airport is open.
Conditions are forecasted to rapidly improve overnight, so I would expect any cancellations and delays for Thursday will be due to displaced equipment and crews and not weather.

It is snowing hard now as of 11 a.m. Wednesday 3/13; the real problem with this storm is the wind, which is very strong (50 mph is the figure I heard) as you move east/south of Denver. Friend has a flight to Las Vegas at 10:25 p.m. (rebooked last night from the 7:40 p.m. departure). Now everything seems to be cancelled until 8 p.m., but the later flight is still on.
Wait, now the 10:25 p.m. flight is cancelled too.
United is pretty savvy about pre-emptive cancellations; hopefully there are alternative ways to get to your destination.
