77G - UA's high density 772s with 10 abreast Y and a small 28 J F cabin with pmUA lie-flat

What’s the new ghetto bird?

With the final 3 class 763 looking like it’s heading to HKG in the imminent future for Polaris, what’s the new ghetto bird? The 3 class 772 in biz is an obvious nomination. But the Y class is now one of the better options still being 9 abreast. pmCO 772 is another showing its age but again has a reasonable Y class. Also- sticking to mainline only. Half the UAX fleet qualifies has ghetto bird.

The 77G, hands down, for the 8-abreast J and 10-abreast Y with no AVOD.

The entire UAX fleet is way more comfortable than all the slimline on the main line fleet; whether it is the 737 or 3xx or 777 or even E17x. I cannot believe I am saying this - "I actively seek out and book Devils Chariot and E145s these days". The seats are much more comfortable compared to all the slimlines one has to suffer with. The slimlines cause back aches and are extremely uncomfortable. One has to become numb before starting being comfortable on those seats.

Another vote for 77G(hetto).

Tight 3-4-3, no embedded IFE and obnoxious FA call button placement (though in fairness the several fixes they’ve implemented seem to have reduced the rate of inadvertent chimes).

I'm with you. I frequently fly Embraers out of my small home airport, and then connect to 737s. The E145 has more legroom, decent seats, and the A seats guarantee you don't have anyone sitting next to you. Great little plane.

I do wonder why some of the UAX carriers use CRJs instead of E145s. They are way better - not even a contest.

77G . . . impossible to upgrade and an undesirable F cabin in any event.

Any bird that’s been slimlined. Just total misery.

The CRJ came out first (it shows) and the CRJ family is bigger (thus able to better fill more roles in the network).

77G--How could anyone ever think the middle 4 in J was ever acceptable? (or management or board of directors approve?)

Another vote for the 777G. Absolutely no good seat on the plane. I’m pretty sure I’d rather fly DL or AA with no status than this one again.

... and another for the 77G. No decent seat on the plane — rough in Y and pretty bad in J. That said, in F it certainly beats one of the ancient 738s to Hawaii.
