I wonder if a dev broke something trying to prepare for revenue PE fare classes.

This sounds the most likely explanation.

OK, that makes sense, thank you.

I tried a couple of dummy bookings on UA.com, both for outbound/return straddling the new year and all segments in 2019, and all the P fares I saw still had 200% PQM.

I also checked the MP earning miles page (which is the place to monitor) and no changes there.

I am still getting only 1.5x if I use a clean browser (incognito mode) on intl routes.

iOS vs united.com

Just check my TPE travel on the iOS app. iOS says I'm getting 2x both ways. united.com says 1.5x on the return.

Nothing like consistency.

I wouldn't worry too much yet, I dont look at my receipts anymore but I know they used to always show wrong PQM but they always posted correctly!

My P fare EWR-KOA-DEN-EWR in April 2019 is currently showing 14,846 PQMs. Clearly different from the stated 200% PQM qualification provided here: http://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/...r/qualify.html
Whether it is an IT glitch or a prospective change, I do not doubt that I will get the 200% PQMs as my purchase occurred before any notice of change.
The 200% PQM for P fares has on several occasions prompted me to purchase that fare. So it has worked as a marketing tool.

I think it only matters when you flew it, not when you purchased it. I learned that lesson when SAS earnings on UA changed a few years ago.

United has been good about honoring United terms for purchases made prior to the effective dates of MP changes. Changes for other *A members YMMV.

Looked at my April 2019 EWR-KOA reservation again and it is now showing 19,794 PQMs.
Must have been a bug.

I'm seeing a lot of 1.5X PQM results for next month even. Also not showing the 500pgm min. For a 2 segment should show 1000pqm

The 500 PQM minimum won't show until the summary page.
