Mileage Earning on Air India affiliate Alliance Air

I flew in G class on an Air India flight operated by Alliance Air (AI's equivalent of United Express). The United website lists this as earning full mileage credit, but I did not receive credit for the flight. It's not listed a codeshare, and you can't book it through Alliance Air (I don't even think they have their own ticket stock). Should I get mileage credit in this situation?

UA earning on AI’s Alliance Air?

Looking at flying PNQ-HYD. AI has a direct flight, operated by Alliance Air. I’m assuming that’s it’s a similar set up as UX, but I couldn’t find any info on earning rates. Anybody flown on Alliance Air and get mileage and status benefits?

Alliance Air not part of Star Alliance

I flew Alliance Air JAI-DEL last month. Upon check in I was told they are not part of Star Alliance and had to pay to check a bag. I did not earn mileage credit. The check in agent assured me it was not an Air India flight despite the plane being painted inside and out with Air India and my possession of an Air India ticket. Just one of the many letdowns of Air India.

Just came across this: Air India/alliance air - star gold benefits - wow!
But since your experience is more recent, guess I will fly 9W since an AI connection on true AI is too expensive.
