Stellar crew (and overall service) for LAX-SFO the other day.

Battlefield upgrade came through as I was walking down the jet bridge (took the seat in F) and GA came on soon thereafter to make sure I got a new BP.

Crew inflight used their devices to thank 1K and GS for their business and greeted everyone by name during service and even hustled to make sure everyone got served with only about 40 minutes in the air (plus having to take their seats due to turbulence once).

1K voice will be alerted to how great they were.

Called UA to ticket a farelock rez using an FFC credit. Immediately reached what I believe was the Manila call center, who promptly completed the purchase by converting FFC to ETC. While nobody likes overseas outsourcing I would say it is far preferable to the airlines which only offer text message CSRs (I think that would be you, Frontier). And no 1-hour hold times (in fact no hold time whatsoever).

Flew EWR-IAH-MEM yesterday. I got a text message from Premium Services right when I landed at IAH, saying they would pick me up at the gate. On the jet bridge, I got escorted down the stairs and put in a Jaguar that drove me to the United Club next to the gate I was departing from. It was a really cool experience - first time I’ve gotten a car ride on the tarmac - and the lady who picked me up was really sweet. I forgot to ask her name but she’s been at the company for 33 years (legacy Continental). No idea why I got picked since I am but a lowly 1K, but that made my morning and the trip far more memorable than just another business flight!

Best texts I've ever gotten from UA

Had a connection I wasn't looking forward to Z-to-A that only.got shorter as (a) lightning closed the ramp in DFW just before we were going to board, (b) weather related flow control put us at the end of a long and slow moving conga line... It was really iffy if I was going to make the connection to begin with so I was thrilled to get that text on landing... The the jetway broke and easily took 15-20 minutes before they could get it to the gate. While waiting I got a call from Global Services assuring me that the agent was waiting for me and the connection was good. Driver dropped me at the door to flight #2, walked up the ramp and took my seat while he went in to the terminal to get my BP scanned.

Given my mother-in-law has had a bit of a health scare that has my wife unnerved I really wanted to get home on time and thanks to Premium Services it looks like that will happen (and as a bonus I didn't have to step foot in the post-apocalyptic hellscape that is IAD's A gates today)

No complaints EZE IAH BWI 4/5 April. PP EZE IAH and CPU to F IAH BWI

Check-in lines enforced re: Premier passengers.

At check-in, the agents were advising everyone not to buy any drinks to take on board, after security, because secondary security would confiscate those drinks. That was appreciated.

EZE *A lounge was OK; I'll do a separate post.

On-time flight, service on board was good, including regular walks along the aisles to see if anyone needed anything. I was not a fan of 'chicken or beef' and the chicken I chose was dry.

I noticed that deboarding was blocked while Polaris deboarded - I don't always see that.

For IAH-BWI - on-time (early), great food, decent breakfast.

Thanks UA.

(I also had a nice chat with some UA retirees in the Marriott Buenos Aires M Club. They made it clear that they were UA retirees - not CO. Also, interesting that UA has a prominent storefront in BA.)

We were #2 and #3 on CPU upgrade list for a Midweek flight to Mexico. Not bad placement for lifetime Gold but alas only 1 seat open in F when we arrived at airport. Just before boarding we get the page - of course I give the upgrade to Mrs B (I like being married) and then the agent moves me into her former seat as it has an empty middle. Nice.

i get settled in my seat, and a few minutes later an FA approaches to offer a battlefield upgrade. Then the passenger seated next to Mrs B - on her own initiative - offers to switch seats with me.

Surprisingly my powerball ticket did not hit but I can’t complain.

Flew MUC-IAD last week in PP and had a wonderful crew. The power outlets were not working for me or my 1K seat mate (her headset jack also didn't work). The crew went above and beyond during the 10hr flight. I'm only silver but they offered us both in-flight compensation miles. The 1K passenger gave our lead flight attendant one of her 1K thank you cards and the flight attendant was THRILLED. All around a positive experience.

PS - 10 hours in PP was a breeze, definitely worth the buy-up.
