Listeria it is. CFS aka Journey Cuisine indefinitely closes kitchen at DIA:

2x in less than 30 days is a bit extreme. I can't blame King Soopers for terminating their contract w/CFS. From last month:

(fyi-CFS is now Journey Cuisine)

According to the article:

We remain in contact with the U.S. FDA and expect to return to normal operations within the next five to 10 days
Not sure where you got "Indefinitely" from.

For those that may have been on DEN flights, the Listeria was found in an area of the kitchen that produced food for non-United customers. Just FYI.

Channel 7 actually changed the article header from "indefinitely" to "temporarily" since that was posted. However, 5 to 10 days is only an estimate as the Denver Department of Environmental Health is now investigating.

And I don't know if it's CFS lying, or shoddy reporting by Channel 7, but the statement that they informed UA on Monday (yesterday) is clearly wrong.

Asked when I checked in this morning and was told there should be a hot meal in my domestic first segment (DEN IAD).

United Club food is same as always- with addition of hard boiled eggs

The UCs are serviced by LSG Sky Chefs. I wonder if they've contracted with them to also provide F catering during the closure?

And No reported cases of illness!
But that will change after people see the local news.

Wrong ! BOB Burger, bag of Lay's, 2 oreo pack and Nature Valley Granola bar.

I do understand there is an issue but this isn't good enough.

I am not fond of Oreo cookies ... but I would take this any day over the last two meals I had on a First Class domestic United flight.

Cheeseburger or Thai chicken salad on tonight's flight -- these are the Bistro-on-Board options usually provided in Y.

No mention of further compensation, but we'll see if anything is offered.

Last Thursday I flew DEN to LGA in first. We were offered the Cheeseburger or Thai Chicken Sandwich, Chips and Eli's cheesecake (all Bistro on board stuff). The guy sitting next to me asked for something different from the Bistro menu and was given it. Not the healthiest meal but IMHO better than the chicken and mac and cheese dish they serve.

Flew DEN to HNL on October 27th. No offer of compensation for the lack of food. Just $20 voucher to be used in the airport. Flight attendants distributed macadamia nuts in plastic cups and snack boxes. They had a few BOB items such as pringles. Guess I should write 1k to see if comp since others received compensation. Flight attendants even bought Halloween candy from their own money to give to everyone on board. They apologized over and over for the lack of catering.

I was in F.

Snack boxes and Pringles are a spectacular service fail for a 7 hour flight to HNL. A $20 terminal voucher doesn't do much for the last three hours of such a long flight.

On the 11/5 DEN-LAX B777 — same as above, burger or chicken sandwich. Burger was good, as were sides — wow, BOB is better than FC catering. Would miss hot breakfast items though.

Has regular catering not returned to DEN yet?
