My GF, who has 1K status based on my MM status (and only flies UA with me), got the mailer:

8000 miles for $800 in spend,
10,000 more for $200 more spend
= 18,000 miles for $1000 in spend.
That's 5.5 cpm.

Meanwhile, my promo offer was 36,000 miles for $6200 in spend. That's 17.2 cpm.

If this wasn't so absurd, I'd be insulted

Well at least you got a RDM offer. I didn't.

My special snail mail offer is:

Spend $6,000 on purchases by the end of the year and earn 2,500 BONUS MILES!!!

I am a nobody but will be silver by the end of the year. And I don't use the card very often.

They are pushing this promo in multiple ways. Email (see link to thread in earlier post), posting it on facebook (They had a post about earning tons of miles for Denver fliers) with a link to the promo page, and now snail mail. It's a bit strange that they would use all of these methods. Lots of comments on the facebook page about people trying and being told they weren't eligible.

No Go for me too! Bummer, but I guess they anticipate I will hit 1K by EOY they don't need to put a carrot out for me to chase.

No love for me, again. Wah.

I just gutted my account taking the family to Italy over Thanksgiving in J, and could really use the RDMs. Anything under 100k in the bank makes me very uneasy.

Nada for me here...

No offer. Not sure if it is because it's already qualified for 1K this year.
