Didn't see this posted elsewhere.... They will be paying special tribute to the 747 this year at the SFO Family Day on October 8th.

To be fair, they don't usually announce on FT till sometime in September.

I would say this is highly likely. UA always does a fly by during Fleet Week, which is the same weekend. UA is on the schedule.

They usually use a 747, although when I went two years ago they made a last second sub to a 757 (still nice, but obviously not the same as the original jumbo jet).

About as cool as my low level "fly-by" the lunch table that will be set up in the new Denver UA kitchen for those of us that are attending the Mini-Doo the day before, on Oct.7th!

Same weekend as SFO Fleet Week with the Blue Angels. Makes me wonder if UAL flyby will be a 747 hmmmm!

I have never gone to SFO Family Day before, but I will definitely be there this year to see the 747 for the last time!
