Just got the text/email as well. There goes my Thursday night, wait I am pretty much always delayed sitting in the penalty box connecting through ORD on Thursday nights.

Glad UA is being proactive and giving options though.

Both e-mail and text if you are on a flight into/out of the affected waiver airport (s).

wife scheduled to fly in and out of ORD tomorrow morning. was able to change to fly in and out of IAD instead.

A super helpful phone agent was happy to help me rebook my parents from an XN flight to a nonstop that only had inventory in YN in order to avoid a messy connection in Chicago. Thanks, 1K!

keep it. Your other option is EWR and that is nit pretty either. You can always change Saturday morning if things look really bad for ORD.

phew. original PHL to ORD was delayed which woulda caused my wife to miss her flight.

Delayed as usual, but not as expected. ORD-IAH 1113 is over 3hrs delayed due to delayed inbound then by mechanical. Deplaned, changed to the morning flight, then saw they were boarding again so back on the plane.

Weather is supposed to come back Saturday so I am sure this will delay my Monday flights somehow.

Got the text and email for my connection through ORD Sunday. As others mentioned, the weather doesn't seem that bad. I rebooked through IAH. Now I can swing by the Centueiion Lounge.

I proactively rerouted my wife SFO-DEN-MSN rather than SFO-ORD-MSN today.

Ex post it made no difference (all flights were on time). But it was nice to know that we didn't need to worry about ORD going all WX nasty.
