Doesn't work - needs a zip code to manually redeem... which isn't printed on the voucher.

There's a Starbucks near the middle of the UA terminal - IIRC it's right next to the stairs/escalators that take you to the C gates. They sell boxed pre-cut fruit, sandwiches, chocolate, etc. Great place to stock up on food to nibble on in-flight.

Does it have to be food? My wife likes Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee beans.

Last time I tried, they wouldn't let me buy beans or other merch.

Also couldn't use Square/cash/paypal as no zipcode nor address.

I guess buying a gift card wouldn't work either. Too bad.

Purpose of food voucher is to purchase food. Last time we purchased muffins and croissants. They were our breakfast next morning.

Just had 3 x $20 UA meal vouchers to burn at ORD for breakfast. I can't (and shouldn't) eat that much but got a smoothie from Smoothie King and one of their reusable tumbler ($24.99)

Now I still have $20 to burn.

I always look for the most frazzled family with a bunch of kids in tow that I can find, and give my vouchers to them.

I have used if for Garrett's popcorn for the flight crew or my admin back in the office. I suspect you could just give it to the cashier to pay it forward for the next military or family in need type customer

At times, I've used an airport voucher for a box of Cinnabon, to either eat or bring to the office to share.

I do something very similar, especially if at an airport that has a lounge with decent, free food options.

Even better, find a service member dressed in uniform, and thank them for their service.

Id recommend Vosages if you like good chocolate. You can take that home.

I second the Vosages recommendation.
Good luck!
I never tried it previously, but this must have changed. Vosges will not take the vouchers now.
