FlyerTalk Forums - Consolidated "Waitlist for Award Seats Questions/Issues [ARCHIVE]

so I have an award reservation booked in fare XN. I asked united to waitlist to fare I today, and they quoted X miles to waitlist. I confirmed the amount, and now when i view my trip online, i see my original itinerary and then below that I see the flights that say waitlisted in fare I. however, united still hasnt charged my account the additional miles. i was under the impression that miles will be deducted when I waitlist, is there anyway I can confirm that I've been waitlisted correctly? thanks!

when were you charged the additional miles to waitlist? at the time when you were waitlisted, or when the upgrade cleared? i just waitlisted earlier today, but my account still hasnt been charged the additional miles
