Nada this year
Silver last year (PQD waiver thru UA Visa card)
Gold for several years before that

I got an offer for up to 80k RDM):
20k for $1000 PQD
25k for $1500 PQD
35k for $2000 PQD

Just so I'm clear, would I get all 80k for spending $2000 (less taxes)? Or would I need to spend $4500 (1000+1500+2000)?

Only $2000...

I was a multi Year 1K, 1.3M or so flown and have MM status, but I left them cold after 2013 because of one too many 'stunts' by Jeffie and Co.

Currently with DL and AA - both EXP/DM with them - as well as MM+ with both as well.

They CLEARLY want me back for some of my spend...and they might have seen my spend on visa/MC. Who knows...I dropped my Chase MP card in 2013 as well after having it for over a decade (and they did not seem to care I might add).

1500 + PQD = 40K
2500 + PQD = another 50K
4000 PQD total = another 60K

So, 150K extra miles for just a little over 1.5 trips to Asia by Sept. I probably will make an exception to my strict ABU policy (Anyone But United) to spend the $4001 or so PQD needed for this promo, but no major shift back to UA because of this.

Still, I would be peeved if I was still a 1K/GS with them and saw this being given out to people who jumped ship during the last couple of years.

Does anyone know, which opt-in/out email subscriptions you have to keep active to receive these? I have turned off:

-- MP Partner
-- MP Program
-- MP Statement

I'm guessing one of these has disabled me to receive these offers? Do you all know which one?

Thanks!

In my case, with everything turned-on, I have only gotten 1 promo in the last 18 months. Most do not get these targeted promos.

Has anyone reached out to Twitter to see if they can be added for this revenue-generating promotion? Seems like it would be a winner to UA for those that had defected.

Moderator Note

Please check the dates of your promotion as I've changed the title of this thread to reflect the promotion dates of this promotion and moved several posts from this thread to the newer RDM promo thread here:

Thanks :)

Is there any way of checking online that you are actually registered for this promotion?

I registered prior to purchasing my first set of tickets, but there is no confirmation email that your account has been registered, or any way that I can see to check on ua.com.

I would hate to find at the end of the promotion that I had missed out on the bonus miles because of a web glitch.

What happens when you try to register again?

Hitting the Register button in the original email brings up a page with the offer, and the wording "Thank you, you've registered". Thereford, I still don't know if the $1,150 of tickets I've already purchased for a flight in July are counting towards the offer or not, even though they were purchased after receipt of the original email and registration.

A wording of "you have already registered would have been more useful.I guess I just don't trust UA's IT.

Wow. 150k would be hard to pass up.

As a GM, that's nearly 4x the 1K accrual (total of 170k RDM for $4k in spend).

Does UA have any clue the messages it's sending here about what type of passenger behavior is rewarded (leave, and we will shower you with gifts).

Does this offer apply to business travel booked by your employer?

yes -- assuming it meets all the other T&Cs. UA tracks the flyer, not the purchaser.

Click on link in post 1. Enter MP number - it will tell you.

STS-134 May 29, 2016 9:37 am

$3k = 11k
$3.5k = 16k more (total 27k)
$5k = 26k more (total 53k)

Not really interesting enough for me to go out of my way to get it.

The whole flights must be purchased after registration is bush league. I have $3k in flights purchased but not yet flown.

IAHFlyBoi May 29, 2016 10:58 am

The offer I got was...

$12K = 33K
$13.5K = 50K
$18.5K = 82K

I've already spent 18K with UA this year and clocked 80K BIS miles...would have thought I would get something a bit more lucrative.
