Red letter United B767

I just noticed a UA 767 at EWR with the "United" written in red letters on the fuselage. Anybody know what that's about?

It might be the 767-400 in Orange colors for the Broncos

Could it have been the Orange lettered 767 that was done for the Broncos for the Super Bowl ?

The easiest way to tell a 777 from a 767 is the tail, the 777 has the distinctive square tail ending...

N76064 is currently in EWR (coming off UA121 BCNEWR), and, to my knowledge, still sports the orange-colored titles for the Broncos.

I believe the logo decal has been removed, though I could be wrong.

Good thing United doesn't have any major gateway airports in the south!

I'm not even sure how this 764 would be received at IAD, just one state border crossing away from Carolina?

I just always counted the tires under the belly.

I would've thought that N666UA would've been the red lettered plane

Would have been cool to see a 744 with the orange titles. They did run one SJC-DEN following the superbowl, presumably for the players? They also ran this 764 at around the same time as far as I can see as well.

Funny I thought the same thing the evening before. Turned out just to be the sunlight reflecting through the EWR terminal windows that made it look red. Could have bee just that?

There were 2 additional friends/family charters in addition to the 764 with decals

Nobody in NoVA considers themselves to be a southerner, so no problems there. We're much closer to New York than Charlotte.
