People tend to forget because we haven't had a real winter in three years, but SFO is traditionally one of the two or three most delayed airports in the country due to the parallel runways limiting flow in low visibility conditions. And so far, it seems we are going to have a real winter (which here means lots of rain). The LAX flights get particularly messed up when ATC restrictions are imposed.
