Question about fees/tax on award booking

Question about fees/tax on award booking

I understand that airport and landing fees vary by destination, but why would an award ticket SFO-CDG-ATH have a $25 fee but just the CDG-ATH leg have a $35 fee? Both CDG-ATH segments are the same flights on Aegean.

Some airport fees vary based on being a transit passenger vs O/D passagner.

CDG's Chirac departure tax is one of those,
