UA's new {one-time?} 767 service from SFO to SEA

OK, not really.

But I did find it bemusing that they're operating an international 767-300 from SFO to SEA tonight.

Sure beats the A319 I took last week.

Lucky break for anyone going on 609 SEA-ORD tonight. 3-cabin 763 from SFO is taking them to Chicago.

I've caught the one that runs EWR-ORD occasionally. Good stuff but I've never been the lucky one who ends up in F; always J. Still a good ride albeit on a short flight.

I had a random A/C swap from a 752 to a 763 ORD-SFO a few weeks ago; not sure what's going on w/ that. I've also noticed a few 3 class 772s in the domestic rotation lately. My only guess is that 787 deliveries are creating a little slack in the widebody fleet.

If you get the 763 for domestic and you're in Y, note that they usually don't block rows 13/14, so go for those. It's J service in a slightly nicer Y seat.

It's not J service in those seats but it's a better Y seat. It's kinda in the J section but not J service.

ORD-SFO has a 777 rotation with the Hawaii config thrown in a few days. On Wednesdays you have 2 777's from SFO-ORD, one international and one Hawaii on the red eye.

That would be new if true. Post-merger, rows 13/14 still had J service.

Its always been coach service pre and post merger. I've flown over 10 767-300 3 class on domestic and never saw a meal served for those 2 rows. Seats are nicer but no J service.
