Fantastic Preflight Lecture - Who was that??
Flew UA 1583 SFO-EWR on May-6, and had the pleasure of hearing what must be the most well-prepared preflight announcement ever made by a captain. He covered such details as the 737-900 history, number of planes, cost, cost of fuel, cost per person, etc., etc.
Anyone know who this pilot was, and does he always make such an informative speech?

I looked up that flight out of curiosity.
I remember flying with him years ago, really nice guy. He's been flying the 737 for a long time now and has always been real technical with his briefings.
