United Club in ATL - Closed 31 Jan 2015 - Reopening delayed to 13 Nov 2015

Effective January 31st, the nation's busiest airport has no United Club.

Their posted sign is brief: "We apologize for any inconvenience."

I didn't ask for an apology.

I asked for a club.

Well to be fair UA only copies the money saving aspects from delta. They don't copy the good service, hard product or well run operations =p

Well that's just great. I have a trip through ATL on February 28th and I was planning on visiting the club

Any timeline on when the new one will open in Terminal T?

Dang - a great staff there! I hadn't been thru in a few months and not only did they recognize me but commented on my weight loss... that felt pretty great.

I use that club a lot as I have customers in ATL .... ugh.

Wasn't it supposed to re-open in another location???
Vaguely remember something like that.

Agree - UA biz model is "don't compete, surrender"

Is the old RCC space still sitting there, empty? Seems that wouldn't be hard to open back up.

And in typical fashion, the website wasn't updated. Still shows a club in ATL.

Isn't ATL one of the airports to be outsourced? If that's the case, I am less than sure a new club will open.

Well, isn't there one there? It apparently doesn't close until January 31st, so the website is correct.

We were just told that UA is adding more mainline flights to ATL..

This doesn't seem right, but since they are getting outsourced, it may be. It wouldn't surprise me. UA gave up on Atlanta a long time ago. I still never understood, why people flew UA Express on ORD-ATL, just to get a few miles. I've been flying DL on a 757 for years now. It's funny seeing the UA Express flights, always delayed, while my flight was always on time..

Meanwhile Delta is building a club at SFO.
Just another reason that more of my $$ is going to Delta.
