United Airlines Allegedly Leaves Caged Dog Unattended In The Cold Rain

The link doesn't reference the airport, but I think it's Houston.

How do we know there's a dog in the kennel?

How cold is "cold"?

The kennel provides a roof so it's not really in the rain...

That is a good point. The baggage handlers probably already poached his collar, and lost the dog. I betting on an empty kennel, as it would be hard to smuggle a dog kennel off the airport grounds in a backpack, so they just left it there.

Seriously, you have to be pretty cold hearted to look at that picture and not feel for both dog and owner.

Love the comment:

As a human who has traveled with United a handful of times, this actually seems much more humane than, say, forcing the dog to speak with a desk agent.

Dog must have medallion level status or something. Lucky ........

A lot of hand wringing for a possible animal enduring conditions that animals routinely endure.

When I was flying AS recently, the baggage crew pulled up to the plane with 2 kennels. They put the first 1 on the conveyor and started to put the second one on, then at the last second pulled it off, reloaded it in a baggage cart and took off with it. I thought some poor dog owner would have been very distraught when their dog did not arrive with their flight.

Maybe the UA dog got bumped by a CAM (Canine Air Marshal)!
