Flight registered as B777, but seat map showing 767 layout
Flying on flight operated daily by a 777, seat map until today was also a 3-3-3 layout.
Today the seatmap changed to a 2-3-2 layout, while the flight is still registered both on the UA wabsite and on KVS as a 777-200.
Any explaination?
Can I assume that the aircraft now will be operated by a 767?

Not sure if this is still the case, but unitedcargo.com used to be updated more frequently than United.com.
Just go to Find Schedules and enter your city pair and date.

Was wondering how United manages the crea on such a flight, as the crew will be the crew which comes off the day earlier flight which is a B777.
Cabin crew shoudn't be much of an issue (although I assume the 777 carries more cabin crew then the B764), but can the cockpit crew of a B777 also fly a B764?

777 vs 764
My flight has just been downgraded from a B777 to a B764.
Are there any advantages or disadvantages from one versus the other?

772 (either sub) has more premium seats.
772 has good bulkheads (no lav by row 16/20)
764 has the 2 seat groups which are nice for couples.
764 has lavs at all bulkhead seats.

Sounds like you are on flight 28 which is typically an 777 but lately for the past few days has been a 764. Today for example it's a 764, however tomorrow it's a 777. No the pilots of the 777 can't fly the 764. Also the 764 is staffed with 10 FAs while the 777 is staffed with 12.

Oh that's the BRU - EWR flight. Usually it's a 777 but on the day of your flight it appears to be a 764. As I've said before just keep checking your flight info and usually 2 - 3 days prior to departure, check the the flight status on united.com. What it shows on the day of your flight will be what's operating your flight that day.
