Just saw it here at EWR myself. She's a beauty!

Saw it in PVR today; headed to SFO.

Are the only special liveries the two retrojets and the *A birds?

DENviaLAX Nov 29, 2014 9:19 pm

There is also the Eco Skies livery, along with a few planes dedicated to different people with their names on the side. But yeah, that's about the extent of it, that I know of.

Plane with old Continental livery

I spotted this plane with a very old Continental livery in Puerto Vallarta. Any ideas?

It's a deliberate heritage tribute, and it's been flying the line for years.

other than FT's very own tom stucker, any ideas who the other honorees are? i believe tom has had his name on two planes (a 744 and something else), but neither continue to bear his name.

perhaps the general fleet thread is a better place for this question.

Robert Six & Gordon Bethune each have a sCO 777 with their name on it. Marlon Green's name is on a 737.

I enjoyed this thread but how did it make the front page of FT!? "Retro livery spotted at LAX". I see quite a few retro liveries (KL, LH, SK...), didn't realise it was front page news!

Saw the same plane in PVR on Sat also! We may have been on the same flight - 3:45 PVR-SFO?

Can they go retro on the interior too? I miss my CO cheeseburgers.

A few years back, before the America West/USAir merger I saw the Piedmont, Allegheny, and PSA planes all lined up in BOS.

Looks like I have the privilege of flying on the retro today. Unless it's just a really old plane

Awesome! I did once just after it entered service, and it was super cool! There is a little plaque near the front galley commemorating the plane.
