OK - maybe it's an ORD thing then...I haven't seen it elsewhere. Definitely not at any of the NYC-area clubs.

It's definitely at ORD clubs most of the time (wasn't in C18 early morning last Friday). They even have raisins, brown sugar and granola that you can spice it up with.

It's usually quite good... I look forward to having some tomorrow morning!

The salads and soup would be a nice addition in the afternoon though. At lot of the other stuff seems to be more marketing mumbo jumbo than any real substance.

Forget the soup... can we get the free Baileys?

malgudi Aug 13, 2014 5:13 pm

Yes ... these "will UA follow" threads are getting lame(r?) with every new iteration.

I love how each time DL adds something everyone on here asks if UA will match. It's been said over and over, if it's a cut, United will match it immediately. If it's an addition, it doesn't get matched.

I would also include the chicken salad as it is actually creeping towards real food there, and would go great on top of some fresh greens. And the cheesecake for dessert is an upgrade from the UA cookies.

The best dessert of all ^ at least it is still free on board in the premium cabins, but if you get a few people with the same good idea it goes rather fast.

Yeah no. Not a premium flyer at all but UA needs a serious culture change in the corporate offices... maybe listen to the customers?

It's in the new F-Club usually at the service station furthest from the door, but I've seen it at the closest to the door as well. In the older B-club (B5-ish?), it's at the service station closest to the bar, back over where the TV used to be before the re-model.

I haven't really passed through other airports in the AM recently.

Never seen oatmeal in EWR.

Delta adds first class service to RJ's - United doesn't
Delta adds free water bottle to E+ - United doesn't
Delta adds free blanket to E+ - United doesn't
Delta adds amenity kit to E+ - United doesn't
Delta adds free alcohol to longhaul - United doesn't
Delta improves SkyClubs - United doesn't
Delta adds wifi to everything - United Miles behind
Delta adds streaming to everything - United Miles behind
Delta chasing 90%+ On-time most days - United chasing 70%
Delta downgrades to revenue program - United matches IMMEDIATELY

Let's all look back at the top of page 1 and decide whether having oatmeal at one airport makes a difference in the overall picture. I think we can all agree on the fact that it's meaningless. Ditto for whether a given item exists in the GFL as opposed to the UC

Delta: 98
United: 2

Wow too funny, yet very factual!

Should make a bigger list :)

They'd have to pry Smi$ek out of office first...er I mean the filming set of the next safety video.

Don't worry, they won't change a thing and say that the current amenities and food are a direct result of our valued feedback they were listening to.

Let me add that to my list for Santa Claus...........

upgrade? "Ain't no way, no how..."

SunLover

Enhancement of the club food and drinks will be Never.

However, a Price Increase will occur as soon as they think of a good reason, not that they need one :D

...please don't encourage Smisek to raise the price of the UC to DL SC levels.

cerealmarketer Aug 15, 2014 4:37 pm

Delta raises SkyClub price to $695 from $450.

Delta eliminates 2 guest privilege from SkyClub $695 membership level.

We're getting the better end of the bargain on the Club level.

I'd like more food as much as anyone, but if it means matching Delta prices I am OK not getting a replica of the watered down soup spread at Air Canada lounges that seems to get 2 Michelin Stars around these parts.

And I prefer UA clubs to AA. Better breakfast spread, better premium wines.

Raise them all they want. It will lower the crowds and I am a lifetime member. Real food, PLEASE.

blug Aug 15, 2014 5:12 pm

While these menu options are not bad, I wouldn't trade them for losing guest accesses.
