Question about "View Fare" function

Question about "View Fare" function
I'm looking up tickets to possibly go from LAS to SXM during the month of October. When I do a month long search for flexible dates, the calender shows "View Fare" for the first 2/3 of the month, does that mean that there are no flights being operated by UA during those weeks?

So I randomly checked UA again for fares to SXM, and now there are a few more dates speckled in there but no consistency. Is this normal? Is there a possibility that flights for my desired dates would become available? Or am I better off flying AA for the first time and booking my trip now at $530 rt?

SXM is seasonal service on UA. In October, UA only flies IAD-SXM on the 25th and 26th, EWR-SXM on Saturdays and the 26th-31st, and ORD-SXM on the 25th.
