Roundtrip vs One way differences?

I'm trying to book a YYZ-SEA ticket..
If i search roundtrip - see SEA-YYZ, and a YYZ-SEA - both direct flights on Air Canada..

But if i only want the return leg. i search one way - and i don't see the yyz-sea flight showing up as an option..

is there a reason why a flight ONLY shows if roundtrip search?
Thanks!!

search engine issues, may have to call to book -- ask for web support and they may waive on the phone fee if that is an issue.
