i know there is a usb outlet in business the question is if i can load my own media onto the monitor?

I don't know about video, but I know you can with Audio. It doesn't connect through the USB power port, but via a seperate "special" adaptor that has to be purchased from UA.
That said, I never understood the point of buying an adaptor to plug your iPod into their system and listen to it through their system. We never bought it.
