Early "CPU Requested"
As a 1K I have noticed that the "Complimentary Premier Upgrade Requested" notation in my reservation has been appearing well before the 96 hour mark.
Anyone care to venture a guess as to why this is happening?

Is this happening with eastbound redeye's? 24 hours early? If so, its known. My wife has a few times (and I think me, once) CPU'd 24 hours sooner than normal due to this.

Yep. CPU scheduler runs on Central time, and gets confused if your departure is on different days in (1) local time at the departure airport, and (2) Central time. Canonical example is redeye flights from Hawaii, but anywhere in Pacific/Mountain time can produce it if your departure is after midnight Central.

I do think I recently had an early switch to cpu requested that couldn't be explained this way. But my itineraries since haven't had it.

Oddly enough , mine appears immediately upon ticketed. In fact, booked on a flt for Jan.22 and it is there on my itinerary in blue highlight. Of course just requested, not confirmed.

If I am reading you correctly, you are saying your requested appear earlier than expected.

If it's a normal day flight, it now shows up early as a matter of course, but you won't actually get the upgrade until the sweep. If it's a flight that departs after midnight Houston time, then you'll be eligible 24 hours early.
