standard economy award switch to saver first same miles ?

If i purchase a standard economy award and then a saver first award becomes available (same exact mileage) will united let me make the change? Would it have to be the exact same flight?

UA will let you do this, in fact, I did this on my last award. However, believe that you'll have to pay the award change fee which will vary based on status level and whether you do this within 21 days of travel or before that.
