Anyone try the EVA Air Lounge in SFO on a UA domestic itinerary?

In the past, folks with UA *G status have tried using the SFO SQ lounge on a UA domestic only itinerary as an alternative to the UC, with mixed results.

Now that EVA Air is in *A, has anyone tried to do the same with the EVA Lounge?

Their hours are quite limited, but I am also wondering the same thing. I'll give it a shot next week when I'm taking a late evening redeye from SFO.

Is the EVA lounge marked as being a *G lounge? If not, *A status alone will not get one into the lounge.

Is this lounge on the UA side of the G concourse? Or is it in the other wing of G?

It should be on the G side of the International Terminal, near the Singapore lounge.

It's just down the hall from the SQ lounge (both of which are just down the hall from the international-terminal United Club).

Yes, per the airport info on staralliance.com.

Also interested in this question. Noticed the new Star Gold sign outside, and was a little excited

Edit:
Something that's a little concerning is the fact that the lounge only appears in the lounge finder on international tickets: intl domestic

Interesting finding, but perhaps not unexpected. I think the EVA lounge is small and may not handle all the UA traffic

Any ideas on the hours of operation? I was there mid-morning and the lounge was closed. Also there was no sign outside.

Here are the hours. They correspond to when EVA's flights are in operation.
During BR17/BR07(21:00-01:00)/BR27(14:00-17:00) operating time

I wonder if the SQ people have warned the BR people about these lounge lice The Taiwanese carriers are quite experienced dealing with people trying to access their lounges....

The interesting thing is that I was in the UA International Terminal lounge earlier in the year. As you come up the elevator, there is a wooden easel kind of sign post. On the back of it, it had an EVA logo. It almost seemed BR was using the UA lounge...

If you get into the BR lounge, don't forget to check out the Hello Kitty calendar to the left of the door...
