(Mods: If possible, please keep this thread separate for a week or so until beta testing is complete. Once the update is released, we can merge this thread with the original, or just delete it... Thanks!)
Dear FT,
A few months back, I released a GreaseMonkey / TamperMonkey user script for United.com that allows users to display their "real" expected mileage earning on UA and Partner flights, based on Premier level, class of service and other bonuses, as described in the Original Thread.
Today, based on tons of feedback from the community, I'm happy to announce a beta test for version 2 of this script, and am looking for testers to help kick the tires before this is broadly released for everyone to use.
The script has significant enhancements over the original, including some things that (to my knowledge) have never been done before, including:
If you are interested in helping to Beta Test:
Because the script incorporates a lot of newer browser features, we're not 100% sure that it will work on all browsers or systems. So we'd like to get a mix of operating systems and web browsers involved to work out the bugs before a general release.
To participate, PM me with:
We'll select a few users in each category on a first-come, first-served basis, and reply with a link to download the Beta script.
Once we're confident that the bugs have been worked out, and it's properly computing all of the Partner earning rates, we will update the Original Thread, and release version 2.0 to the world.
Assuming the Mods are willing to let this thread stand-alone (for now), we can use this for Beta group discussion on issues and suggestions, prior to the full release.
Thanks in advance, and Happy Searching!
Update: Almost full-up on Beta testers. Still looking for a few users with:
Windows / Firefox
Mac / Safari
Linux / Anything
Dear FT,
A few months back, I released a GreaseMonkey / TamperMonkey user script for United.com that allows users to display their "real" expected mileage earning on UA and Partner flights, based on Premier level, class of service and other bonuses, as described in the Original Thread.
Today, based on tons of feedback from the community, I'm happy to announce a beta test for version 2 of this script, and am looking for testers to help kick the tires before this is broadly released for everyone to use.
The script has significant enhancements over the original, including some things that (to my knowledge) have never been done before, including:
- Proper calculation of partner flight earnings, based on the published MP earning tables, including all class-of-service rates, mile minimums and *A partner bonuses.

- Visible indicators when an operating carrier and fare-class combo may earn different mileage based on the specific route or itinerary. (eg. the ANA domestic Japan flight "problem".)

- Crowd-sourced updates and corrections! If a new partner is added or earning rates change, any user can report a suggestion to the script authors, for inclusion in the next release.

- Dynamic script configuration. Script now prompts for input the first time it's run, and "remembers" your settings without having to edit the script to set your Premier level, and other preferences.
- UA flight earning improvements/corrections, and speed improvements to earning table lookups.

To participate, PM me with:
